Carmelo Anthony joins the Knicks, now the whole world is suddenly a Knicks Fan. Well maybe not the whole world but NYC has never been this gun-ho about the Knicks since the 70's. I guess we will see what happens this season since the Knicks became buzz worthy again last season, but I don't agree with the overnight fans.

So we all love Kanye West but his stylist went all wrong with his wardrobe choice for the All Star Game. It was reminiscent of The shiny suit men outfits but this was way worse due to the fact that Kanye's pant were extremely tight to the point of suffocation. As half-time closed and the game presumed the talk of Kanye's pants became an instant Twitter Topic and was all over Facebook. Although it shouldn't matter what a person wears an artist as big as Kanye West who is known for his fashion sense as well as music should have refused to wear those pants. You do have the option of telling your stylist "nay" or "Ye".

Lil Wayne's Vacation to the Island

Okay so after the all the dodging Lil Wayne was finally given the "Go to Jail" Card. After a prolonged sentencing date due to dental work Lil Wayne has finally landed on the Island, and I'm not talking the Bahamas. The NY Times reported that Lil Wayne had more than 100 fans at the Courthouse swarming around his tinted sports car, but what I don't get is if everyone knew he pleaded guilty why were they acting as if this day wasn't going to come. He dodged sentencing twice before the second time for a fire at the courthouse. I witnessed girls on T.V. actually crying about Wayne's 8 months as if they were related to this man. Some of them wouldn't even cry for their own relative like that. I mean the man pleaded guilty he was going to serve time. I don't understand why people would say "Free Lil Wayne" if he plead guilty. The only time people should say " Free anyone" is if they are wrongly accused and convicted, prisoners of war or political prisoners, but you can't say "Free__" to a person who is saying they are guilty of what they are being accused of. I understand people are fans but people go in and out of jail all the time. I don't think young children should be cheering him on, what are you cheering for? If this is the role model for the youth then we are rather lost. Cheering for Rosa Parks or Dr.King Jr being arrested I can see, they were taking a stand for their rights. What stand was Wayne taking? How is Dwayne Carter having an illegal firearm making a difference for the youth? It honestly sends the wrong message of who and what the young people are looking up to! I'm afraid for the generation to come.

Okay so why has the topic of discussion for the past few days been Tiger's apology press release. I mean we actually sat in a journalism class of mine and discussed Tiger's press release for the entire class. I honestly don't see why people are so shocked to hear the man cheated on his wife in the first place. People have to understand the man is human he's not Jesus Christ. The man is the top paid athlete and has tons of women throwing themselves at him. Did they really think that Tiger was invincible? Sooner or later he would have gotten caught. Even the best of the best get caught. I don't think his affairs take away from him being a good person or a good father. Yes the man may have a Sex addiction problem. But what makes him any different from the Rock Star addicted to drugs. I don't see why he is being held on a pedestal as if he's The Pope. He's a regular man with an extraordinary cash flow. He's not the 1st athlete to cheat and get busted and I'm sure he won't be the last. Even the former president got caught cheating. Seriously people you all are making too much of a big deal over this. Letterman apologized and we moved on. Clinton apologized and we moved on. The fact the man is a cheater has no effect on his ability to play golf. So why are all these sponsorships pulling out. Like he was just making you all billions now that he has a little dirt on his name you want to throw him aside like bad cheese. Shame on the industry. If that's the case then Letterman show would've gotten pulled Governor Spitzer shouldn't be allowed at any political event and Clinton shouldn't even show his face. The man said he's sorry. Who are you all to judge if he's sincere or not this is not the court of law and no one is God. People pointing the finger but he who is without sin cast the first stone. Come on guys give Tiger a break!!! It's Getting old and tired, I'm yawning at the media right now.

The highlight of the weekend was the MVP trophy being given to Dwayne Wade. In agreeing with Charles Barkley it wasn't the time or place to discuss money issues, but we had to take the bad with the good.

According to Miss Info & Several other Sources Rapper Shyne has signed a 7 figure deal with Def Jam. I'm glad Shyne took the time necessary to make the decision which would be best for him. It is said that many record labels have been appealing to the Brooklyn rapper since his release from prison. Shyne had been residing in Belize with family since his release. Hopefully he takes his music into his own hands, and we are all ready to hear some good lyrical content from the rapper after 10 long years.

Waka Flocka's Robbers

After being shot at a car wash on January 19 Wacka Flocka was released from the hospital. The sad part of his story has come this week as his robbers posed with pictures of his chain which has surfaced on numerous websites. I honestly don't understand the senseless violence done by the ignorant bunch true he did attempt to grab the firearm, but are they robbers or killers? Judging by the pictures and the fact that they still had the chain in their possession, they did it to earn stripes. The sad part about it is they are grown men. A robbery is one thing attempted murder is another.

Child Support Order on Knowles

Mathew Knowles Father of Beyonce & Solange Knowles, has been ordered by The L.A. courts to pay child support for the mystery child. He must pay $8,200 a month and had to pay about $10,000 in uninsured hospital bills for the birth of the child. Paternity tests will be done on March 1st and based on the results long-term support will be granted. This is very sad for the Knowles family and has led to the divorce of Mathew & Tina, but I am certain the judge will ensure the baby be at least financially support by Mathew Knowles.

Before I Self Destruct

50's Film "Before I Self Destruct", was better than I expected. After viewing the film at its premiere Thursday, I was pleased to discover the story was one other than the rapper's. I honestly felt the story line was good and the film flowed. It didn't overact or forcibly over dramatize scenes, which I was thankful for. I feel that 50 will definitely gain sales either way, from the DVD and CD. He is good at marketing his product, in this case it being himself. I have only heard about two songs which I would say were typical 50 joints, but consistency is the key to success. So I'm glad he is staying true to himself and being who he is as a rapper and entrepreneur.

After a year of watching this young girl's renditions of everyone's songs on You Tube, she has been signed. About a year ago at my best friend's house I discovered a girl on You Tube who could sing so well, I was blown away. A young Black girl with amazing talent showcasing her talent on You Tube with over 30,000 channel subscribers and 1.6 million views. Well in the digital age that has gotten her notoriety. Enough to get signed to Power/Capitol records. Her debut E.P. is titled Hello My Apple, and is in stores now, with her 1st single and video Doll House in rotation.

Bed-Stuy Brooklyn Beauty Deemi where are you?

Deemi's strong, pain filled voice flooded the airwaves in 2007, but her album Soundtrack of My Life was never released. This leads me to wonder was Deemi's lyrics to real for the music world. After seeing Amanda Perez fall by the waist side I would think so. Most of the realest singers and song writers don't get the recognition and play they should. Deemi sings about the struggles faced by many inner city females, yet her voice isn't being heard two years later and we weren't even able to cop her first album. I would love to know what's in the works for Deemi, so I will stay abreast this topic. I honestly feel she is an excellent vocalist and has the look to put her to the top. I felt she could have been the next Aaliyah or Alicia Keys. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Fabolous the Most Humble Hottest Rapper

Okay, most people who have been listening to Fab since day 1 would say you can't put a price on his lyrical ability, style, and grace. To be the smoothest rapper out right now, is kind of hard with all the other frauds trying to blind you with gimmicks and flashy jewelry. At a time when he was the only one who rocked two toned jewelry, Fab came out and made a name for himself. Lyrically and flow wise, he was seen as the hot young dude from Brooklyn. Today Fab has proven his consistency, and has remained true to himself. He is still the same dude who came up out of no where in the Summer of 2001. As a Brooklyn rapper where his predecessors are B.I.G and Jay-Z; Fab keeps the streets momentum going. He leaves the listener wanting more, and sets himself apart from the crowd. He doesn't have to rely on anything but his mere ability to spit. Honestly he has been humble from the beginning. He doesn't crave air time, and useless publicity stunts, like all the other rappers struggling to be noticed. And that's what makes him the Hottest. Of course many of you know if I'm not listening to Jay I'm listening to Fab and vice-versa they are my favorites. I don't believe one needs to say they are THE BEST to be the Best. Those who are saying it are usually trying to convince others of what isn't true. Talk is cheap to me, the proof is in the pudding. He was the first individual artist to put out a film, "Loso's Way" with his album. Now artists such as 50 Cent; is following lead releasing a film with his new album. Fabolous has proven himself, and I continue to be a proud supporter. I look forward to interviewing him one day soon.

Our City Is a Mostly Democratic place.

Despite Bloomberg and I sharing the same Electoral district we have nothing in common.

We can be glad that with the exception of Republican Staten Island Borough President James Malinaro, our city is a mostly democratic place. I am not opposed to other parties or candidates, and don't have a vendetta against Bloomberg I just don't feel he deserves another term in office. And the way sports fans are loyal to their teams, ie: The Yankees Parade brought out 2 Million New Yorkers , is the same way I feel people should come out to rep their Political Party. Especially in our city where we get jerked left right and center.

Many of us came out to vote on Election Day, but what went wrong? It was a tight race, so they say, but I bet Bloomberg's 100 million dollar race is what did it. I believed a change was gon' come, but unfortunately for us New Yorkers we have to live under the reign of Michael Bloomberg for another term. His race was said to be the most expensive race in history with the exception of the Presidential race. All New Yorkers are tired of MTA Fare increases, Traffic toll increases, and that's just our traveling expenses. I really wanted to put William Thompson in office to at least see what he can do. We've been under Republican Mayoral leadership so long I'm beginning to feel like Robinhood this Holiday Season. I want to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Now I can't physically steal from anyone, so I am urging everyone to write a message to the mayor on http://www.nyc.gov/, and list a few things you would like to see change this term, or would like to see addressed. I'm a firm believer that a closed mouth doesn't get fed. We as people always complain to one another but never get at the figureheads in charge. We need to step our game up for this term New Yorkers. Help me take back OUR City.

Meb Keflezighi won the NYC Marathon last Sunday shattering the record by an hour and 20 minutes. He set a new record at just 48 minutes and 12 seconds. Nice victory for U.S. and for Meb who has been trying to win the NYC Marathon for almost 10 years

For the women Ethiopian Derartu Tulu won with 2 hours, 28 seconds, and 52 seconds. The 1st Ethiopian women to claim 1st place in the NYC Marathon in its 40 year History. The Empress has taken her throne! All hail the Queen.

Tyra Banks, model and media mogul, revealed her "real" hair on her show yesterday. After wearing weaves and wigs since she was 18 she finally decided to let everyone see her hair. As we know Black women all over the world have been the subject of "hair". It's no wonder why we feel so much pressure placed on them, and they feel the need to always have an answer. When truth be told there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to a woman's hair, they wear it the way we like it! It's an extension of their body, and no one should dictate what's standard and what's p.c. The only person who has to feel comfortable with it is you! Only women get this much grief about our hair, a man could be balding with only the sides of his hair grown in, and we would still respect him the same. I commend Tyra for showing her "real" hair but I don't think it was necessary, if the world wants to inquire if your bald under the wig, so what!!! Who are they? My mother always told me "you don't have to prove anything to anyone." I firmly believe that. Her resume speaks for itself, her appearance should not even be an issue. I must say Tyra's hair does look great, lengthy and healthy.

After years of drug abuse, domestic abuse, and the trails and tribulations of being a star, Whitney Houston has returned, at her performance in Central Park for Good Day New York yesterday, we can see her voice has diminished some. She does look great and is at a healthy size with glowing clear skin, so we should all be happy for that. A lot of people don't make it out of what she's been through. She is definitely strong, and should be commended for making a comeback after so long, and after all her ups and downs. Hope she gets her voice back stronger, but we can still tell she has that quality that we all love. She also has that human like nature feel, because of the fact that she's been through so much and overcame it. It allows her fans to feel they can do so as well. She is definitely blessed to have made it through. Her performance was an emotional one and you can tell she feels what she is saying. She could have just had a bad-voice day with the sudden change of weather in New York.

With numerous performances and hosts Britney Spears and Russel Brand, it will be a night of fun and entertainment. GOSSIP GIRL SEASON PREMIERE MON 9/14

Okay since Jenny is the new Queen Bee, and succeeds Blair's throne, she has a lot of rules in check. She also gains a lot of respect, although previously viewed as the outcast from Brooklyn. She now holds the crown and with her dad Rufus marrying Lily Bass she now has more money than all "The Mean Girls" put together.

Chuck Bass allows Blair to be happy and attend the prom with Nate, but secretly is torn up inside because of his love for her, although he could never tell her. After a trip to Europe Chuck comes back with all of Blair's favorite things, and finally tells her he loves her. She makes him repeat it over and over as they kiss.

Source's say that in the upcoming season Blair will pimp out her man Chuck to a gay guy named Josh (head of NYU freshman affairs) so he will choose her to give the freshman speech. Chuck is said to share a kiss with the other man. Yes! Gossip Girl is following the book and making Chuck bi-sexual in the show as well.

Okay so Georgina's spiritual reformation has gone out the window as she gets back at Poppy. So now her mean witch ways are back and in full affect. Can't wait to see what damage she does this season. With the texts sent out to all the girls to meet up with Serena, the girl's realize that they are responsible for the gossip. The only thing that's pondering every one's mind is when will Gossip Girl be revealed. Some people thought it was Serena or Serena was feeding Gossip Girl information, because Serena did feel responsible for a lot of the mayhem that went on senior year.

Now that Jenny is the Queen Bee and wears the crown (No more headbands lol) will she be able to crack the case? Will the Brooklyn girl be able to get to the bottom of it? Or does she know who Gossip Girl is? Will we be led into another season? We will just have to wait until the season premiere Mon Sept. 14th at 9pm to find out! Can't wait!!! The CW

LIFE TIME'S PROJECT RUNWAY CHALLENGE

On tonight's episode of Project Runway the designers had to design a piece for a famous model who happened to be pregnant. The challenge was very good because there isn't enough variety and style when it comes to maternity clothes. Being pregnant is already uncomfortable, so women feel comfortable but still glamorous. The maternity fashion world has come far, but can be taken a lot farther. With brands like Seven, and Rock & Republic making jeans for pregnant women, they can still feel in style. The average woman shopping at Motherhood can find something cute to put on, but maternity fashion can still be stepped up a notch. With all the celebrities celebrating maternity it has pushed designers and department stores to offer a wider selection for its pregnant customers. A lot of times the thing you thought would look good on, just makes you look bigger, so it is definitely very important to make looks that flatter the pregnant figure. I loved viewing the designers and felt that this was a real challenge because a good maternity piece can be worn to several occasions throughout pregnancy and can get the compliments you need. I look forward to the future challenges on Project Runway.

FRANKIE & NEFFE BET SHOW PARTY

Okay so last night was the premiere of the Frankie & Neffe Show on BET. It was also the night of the premiere party at Uptown, in Atlanta Georgia. At the party last night mother Frankie gets drunk and gets very loose and wild while daughter Neffe shows off her pregnant belly with another baby father. None of my business but didn't she just have a baby? I was sure after the debating and back and forth to keep Jason We Love Cole, that she was finished popping them out, guess I was wrong. If having another one makes her happy I'm all for it. Having children is a blessing, just hope she's not just caught up in the moment. As for Frankie they say she's off of drugs, and I do love Frankie but her appearance and behavior, from the looks of the pictures, is frightening. I pray she isn't slipping up again, she looks very disoriented and in another world. I know she was probably happy but there is a bit of distance in her eyes that seems to say more than we may like. I really like Frankie and Neffe. I'm happy for their success on getting their own show. I hope it does well and I will be watching.

Simpson trail, the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, and the Menendez brothers trail. He moved to NY in 1980 ands saw 5 of his novels become best sellers. He had a long standing career which began in the late 50's and ended around 2002. He was 83 years old when he passed and made an impact on the journalism world.

TED KENNEDY LION OF THE SENATE PASSES

Senator Ted Kennedy has died of brain cancer. Known to the world as the "Lion of the Senate" he battled issues of civil rights, health care reform, and a host of others. He was 77 at his death and will me buried next to his brothers at their family's memorial. He fought for justice and peace and had over 40 years of senate work. He was definitely a legacy and inspiration to those in politics. Okay so Michael Jackson's death was officially announced as a homicide. I said this when I first heard he died. I said "they killed Michael." So now everyone is coming to me like "wow you said he didn't just die on his own." I am just glad it is finally coming to light and since Michael is my male idol, and this topic saddens me I don't want to stay on the topic too long. As far as Dr.Conrad Murray is concerned there has to be some point when you follow your knowledge of Medicine over Money. I just continue to keep Michael in my thoughts and his family in my prayers. We will always love him.

WOMEN OF COLOR

Feeling good in the skin your in is very improtant. In both Essence & Latina Magazines topics on color are so profound. Women of color battling issues, sterotypes, barriers and ignorance when it comes to color. Biased slurs and comments have been spat at us from a young age. Little Dark skin girls calling little light skin girls pissed colored, light bright, half breed, white girl, and little light skin girls calling little dark skin girls blacky, darky, and tar baby. Color has been a big issue and most dark skin women and girls are rarely seen as pretty, and if they are most people say the line "she's cute to be dark" or "pretty for a dark skin girl." Then you have some light skin women & girls who feel superior to those darker than them even if they aren't necessarily prettier. Then you have those who swear they are the cream of the crop because they are light. I've noticed that most women of color don't want to be darker than they already are. Some avoid the sun, and some even bleach their skin to become lighter. Bleaching of the skin is very ramped throughout the Caribbean, where those who are lighter get better jobs and are viewed as higher status. Most women of color have skin issues whether its discoloration, blotchy spots, freckles, liver spots, red and blue veins, dark areas on the lip, and under the eye, skin moles, sun spots, dry/oily skin and stretch marks. I must stress that no matter how much pigmentation you have you should all be using facial moisturizers with SPF, and we all need sun block when going into the sun on high UV index days. Most women of color don't think they need it, and they won't get skin cancer. Even if you don't get skin cancer the sun is very damaging to the skin and can't take years off of the skins elasticity and glow. Women of color share many of the same skin care remedies, cocoa butter, Shea butter, aloe leaf plant, egg whites, black soap, Shea butter soap, Vaseline for lips and a host of others.

So the question I ask now is why can't we all appreciate the spectrum and variety of complexions we have to offer. I mean look at us. When it comes to being women of color that's just what we are color. An array of color and beauty. I feel we should all compliment each other, but most women do hate or feel if they compliment the other women she'll think you're crazy. I love to see beautiful women. I also love giving compliments, on body shape, hair styles, clothing, complexion, lip gloss, whatever I like about that person that day. I feel that we need to raise our little girls to love the skin their in. When I was younger I always wanted to be darker with straighter hair we'll get to hair next segment that's a whole issue in itself , like Eva Pigford's complexion or Stacy Dash's complexion. Back then I used T.V. shows to describe how I wanted to look I'd say "Lisa Turtle"(Lark Voorhiees) from Saved by the Bell or "Dionne/Dee (Stacy Dash)" from clueless, "Ashley" Tatianna Ali from Fresh Prince, "Tiffany" Maia Cambell from In the House" These were the only black girls on the shows I watched then, and some shows didn't even have Black, Spanish , or Indian women. I started feeling more comfortable about my complexion when I saw Denise Huxtable in the Cosby show or Whitley Gibert, Freddy, & Jada Pinkett from A Different World or when I started being compare to "Hillary" from Fresh Prince when it came to style. I even embraced it more with "Gina" from Martin, "Regine" & "Sinclaire" from Living Single, Tia & Tamara & Jackee' from Sister Sister, Ms.Grier from The Steve Harvey show.
My point is as a girl growing up in America television shapes the way you view yourself. On top of that there are family and friends influence as well. I had my days as a young girl when I admired little white girls on t.v. such as Shirley Temple, even cartoons Little Audrey & Little Lu Lu, some of you readers may be too young to know about these but my grandmother made me watch them, along with I Love Lucy, to this day I love Lucille Ball. I never wanted to be Annie because I never wanted to be an orphan and not know my mother or family. There was Blossom, Clarissa from Clarissa explains it all, and many others, I never wanted to look like them just wanted to be like them. I then began looking at Left Eye, Aaliyah, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Pamela Grier, Angela Davis and a host of others I found to be beautiful. I had the same idol since I was 5 which is Marilyn Monroe, many people ask why? Growin up with her stories, movies and pictures surrounding me, and the way she remains a timeless icon, I can't let her go not to mention I've been compared Marilyn Monroe since I was 3.

Today I admire a lot of women who are successful, Vanessa & Angela Simmons are my top 2. I also think they are both beautiful and love their sense of style, I love Gabrielle Union, Tarji P Henson, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, America Ferrara, and Kristi Yamaguci as well, oh yeah can't forget Beyonce.LOL. I just hope my daughter can view Sacha & Maliyah in The White House and say Mommy I admire them and they look like me!!! That will be the day I await to see. I hope we can all take from this what we can, and realize we women of color are all beautiful and should all celebrate our beauty and our complexions.

FALL LEATHER SUITS & THIGH HIGH BOOTS

When it comes to Fall Fashion women go crazy for the hottest trends, and sexy pieces. There's something about putting on that extra layer of clothing that makes women more seductive & sassy. Leaving extra to the imagination gives us women more creativity and spunk when it comes to dressing. For this Fall motor cycle leather jackets, chains, studded metallic bags, and thigh high boots have hit the runway, enabling us all to tap into our punk-rock side. There's something about a woman on the back of a motor cycle which drives men wild. So they tend to break their neck for women in motor cycle jackets. The leather aspect adds that dominatrix feel, which wows both men and women. It takes a certain kind of woman to pull off the thigh high boot; a confident one! If you are worried about being mistaken for a prostitute or feel too over the top, then this look is not for you. But remember it's not what you wear it's how you wear it. I would advice thick girls to wear them over leggings or jeans. Slim girls can pull them off with a skirt only because they don't have the fleshy thighs thick girls do, which can get us thick girls the wrong attention. Overall this Fall has brought texture & style to the forefront. I anticipate seeing all the women in style. See you this Fall!!!

Blue Print 3

Jay-Z's highly anticipated album Blue Print 3 produced by Kanye West is set to release Sept 11Th. This album is said to release through his own label Roc Nation. Since the Blue Print was released on Sept,11,2001 the day of the 9-11 attacks, he decided to release the 3rd one on that same date. The album features songs such as D.O.A. (Death of Autotune) which criticizes those who rely on autotune to sell records. The song talks about all the gimmicks being used by artists that have distorted the true essence of good music. Lyrically in hip hop everything has went down hill and most people are into making catchy songs which have no significant meaning, rather than putting together metaphors which make people stop and think. There are only a hand full of dope lyricists Jay-Z, Fabolous,Ludacris, Common, & Eminem.

There are a couple others who are good too like Jada Kiss & Kanye West but other than that, the "booty doo", and "stanky leg" have flooded the airwaves. Making me want to know who classified that as hip hop/rap. Sounds more like club house music if you ask me.

Another song by Jay-Z which has just released its video is "Run this Town" which features Rihanna. Jay-Z has proven his consistency as an all around artist. He has ventured out in ways many would have never imagined. One thing for sure is that his fans are very loyal and are anxiously awaiting the release of his new album.

FALL 4 GUCCI

Gucci's Fall line has brought some texture and style mixed with Glam Rock to top it off. With pieces that resemble a Michael Jackson era, the Fall line adds spice & pizazz to the usually couture-safe line. With flashy silver, thigh high boots, animal prints & metallic bags, it shows that it is definitely current and Red Carpet worthy. I personally am a fan of Gucci, and this gives me more of a reason to love them. Gucci has brought elements to the line that you would usually see from student designers attending FIT. Its young, fresh, punk, and sexy all rolled into one. I love it!!!

Daddy's Girls Simmons Sisters & their Sucess

Vanessa and Angela Simmons are not your typical Daddy's Girls. They aren't sitting around living off of Daddy's money. Instead they've shown that the spirit of a hustler runs strongly in their blood line. The girls were first featured on Run's House their dad's show. Vanessa was a soap actress who attended the New York Film Academy, and Angela was an aspiring journalist who made Word Up magazine popular again, and is now the fashion editor of Hype Hair magazine. The girl's one day put their heads together and thought they would like a clothing line that appealed to females that was girly and sporty. From that vision "Pastry" was born. The girls are making crazy money and have moved to L.A. to open their showroom/office. Their clothing and foot wear are in Foot Locker, Finish Line and Underground Station. Now they are going to be in Macy's as well. These ladies don't stop the hustle. They are also spokes models for The Girl Scouts. Which has young girls across America wanting to be as successful as they are one day. Because of the move to L.A. they got their own reality show "Daddy's Girls". They are now on the second season. In the 1st season the girl's moved their cousin Jessica from Queens to L.A. to work the office. After living in a crowded apartment and grinding it out. They have now leased a home in Beverly Hills, until they find their dream home. These ladies are definately doing it big. I am inspired every time I watch them. The main thing I love is they are about their business and they know how to carry themselves. Rev Run did a great job. Check out their show ever Tuesday at 10pm on MTV

Okay so some of you who don't have children may not be aware of the hottest pre-school children's network on television. Noggin is a very educational and entertaining network which allows babies and small children to interact, have fun and learn all in one. There is one show in particular which has took the nation by storm it's the ever famous "Yo Gabba Gabba." Children go crazy for this show. I find it to be the coolest show with guest appearance by numerous celebrities, The Roots, Laila Ali, Jack Black, Mya who's now on Dancing with the Stars, Sean Kingston, Tony Hawk, The Ting Tings, and many more. Everyday the kids Beat Box with Biz Markee, and "dancey dance" with a celebrity guest. I am truly entertained by this show and it has my baby jumping and dancing every time she sees it come on. They teach valuable lessons like "Don't bite your friends" and "Be nice to everyone and they will be nice to you." Pre-school children enjoy this program and get a lot out of it in all aspects of life. Eating healthy as they sing "There's a party in my tummy" This is the modern day Sesame Street. What amazes me is the host of the show. No it's not boring old Mr. Rogers, it's D.J. Lance Rock. As he mixes & scratches on the turn tables and gets the children involved in song and dance. Imagine that a Hip Hop D.J. being the host. What makes it even more unique is that he is dark skin Black man & is his co-host is a dark-skin black lady with an Afro. What makes it even more crazy is the query of D.J. Lance being queer, it's merely speculation no one knows for sure. It doesn't matter what he is to me I find the show to be very good for children of all races, ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. I feel they offer entertainment to me as a parent. I get to enjoy the show as well. They celebrate all types of music; rock, r&b, hip hop, heavy metal & reggae. It's definately the show taking the world by storm.

2 MONTHS SINCE LOSS OF MIKE'S DAUGHTER

It's been two months since Mike Tyson's little girl, Exodus died by accidentally strangling herself on a treadmill cord but I'm sure to Mike it feels like a lifetime. Right now, Mike says he's "still going through a process and trying to heal."In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Tyson shared, "I am in denial, because I don't know how to handle it. I don't know what to do or say." My heart hurts for the champ. As a mother I can't begin to imagine (nor do I want to) what it's like to lose a child. Mike is keeping busy with work as a way of coping. He has an appearance on the new FOX series Brothers. Tyson says, "Acting keeps me functioning as a healthy human being." I hope he takes the time and gets the help he needs to heal properly.

I still can't believe this happened. I'm still in a state of shock. It just made me question life. This was a real freak accident. I remember getting the call from my daughter's father saying she was in the hospital and then when I heard she had passed I became overwhelmed and immediately went upstairs to my daughter. I was visiting family in Georgia at the time. I knew that my daughter's grandma Jackie Rowe-Tyson (Mike's Sister) would take it hard but I never actually knew how to approach her on it. Death is such a touchy topic especially when they are so young. I really still feel bad. And wish my daughter would have one day met her. God Blessed him with an Angel & she will watch over him and be with her daddy forever in spirit.
May God allow Exodus to walk with her daddy daily.

The Real Housewives of NY VS. ATL

In my opinion The Real Housewives of NY makes the Housewives of ATL look like Blue collar workers. Okay this week we found out that Lisa Wu-Hartwell, wife of Edgerton Hartwell former Oakland Raiders NFL Player, home has been foreclosed. The First to have this happen was Sheree Whitfeild & Falcon Player Bob Whitfield after they went through their bad divorce which left her & her two children with a month to up & relocate. Okay I don't pass judgement I do understand it can happen to anyone. The issue I have is the fact the the ATL housewives want to appear to be rich, and put on a facade that they have it all together for the public eye and camera. Most Black People in ATL who have a little bit more than the average person have this attitude. Like they feel they have something to prove to one another.

In the Real Housewives of NY season the women don't portray to be rich, they just merely live WEALTHY. There is a big difference between the two because being rich is flighty. The Real Housewives of NY have wealth. They are well off and their children will be as well. They don't boast about what they have, because it is a natural way of living for them. I am from NYC and live in NYC but I call ATL my 2nd home because my other half of family is there so every couple months I go and live for a month or so. So you can kind of say I live there as well. The price of homes in ATL would be considered a bargain to New Yorkers. Especially when an average home like my Great Grandma's brownstone in the heart of Flatbush Brooklyn appraises for over a million dollars. Home owners in New York don't get what they paid for. Some of us don't even have a garage or driveway. So when we see mini mansions in ATL for The price of a Two Family Brooklyn or Queens home we consider them very lucky. (My aunt Adrienne is a contractor/architect in the ATL area. She does many of the luxury homes there.) Being in ATL and NYC is so different when it comes to who has and doesn't have. Most people in ATL who have a litlle something, have a stuck up way about themselves. Which I laugh at when I come in contact with girls from Hewitt (Prep school in Manhattan where my cousin goes) who have their own driver, nanny & sometimes security, and they act just as normal as the average person. They live the real life version of Gossip Girl & they still argue with their parents to take the train. One thing about New York even millionaires take the train. The wealthiest business man who is worth more than than the Housewives of ATL put together is on the 4 train headed to a meeting. I just feel that more focus is put on appearing rich when it comes to the Housewives of ATL. Don't get me wrong the show is entertaining with all the gossip, back stabbing, and arguing that goes on. Me personally I'd much rather be watching a horse race with ,Daughter of Robert Frankwel, Bethenny Frankwel of Real Housewives of NY in the Hampton's or at a charity event.
Speaking of Charity events, the charity event on Housewives of ATL last season was a disaster. No one bid anything, no one offered a dime, why you ask? Because everyone there was broke. Just a word to the wise you don't attend a charity event if you dont plan to be charitable, it is very poor taste. As you saw the Real Housewives of NY charity went well although there was a lot of arguing and last minute errands. Each person who attended donated thousands and above, now that is what put the Real Housewives of ATL to shame for me.

I had the pleasure of reuniting with a couple industry wives at a bowling party almost two weeks ago. Dina Williams wife of Carl Williams aka Karl Kani. She is a busy hard working business woman who is such an inspiration to young women like myself. One thing she is working on is the Kani Life line which can be viewed at Kanilife.com She is also a wonderful devoted mother who is supportive of her son's sports tournaments & is helping her daughter with an upcoming cooking show. The other whom I was reunited with after many many years was Simone Smith wife of James Smith aka LL Cool J. She is also a wonderful mom who's daughters are so beautiful and well mannered. She is very active in the Todd Foundation and giving back to people less fortunate. I enjoyed the reunion especially when I saw my mom; photographer Mia & Aunt Sassy; devoted mother (separated wife of reggae artist KC Jockey) & Aunt Kiva V. James Esquire, catching up on old times with Dina & Simone. It was such a breath of fresh air to see women who are so empowering to me as a young woman. These are the "Real Housewives" I truly look up to.

WHO IS HOLLYWOOD BEE?

Allow me to formally introduce myself my name is Hollywood Bee, but to family & friends I'm known as Bee. I am a Journalist who also hosts & promotes events & parties in clubs & lounges throughout the city. I write songs, sing, act, and dance. I also design clothing & I am in the process of getting my line's portfolio together. My 1st love is Writing. I love the Media & I love to communicate with others. I have an Associates in Writing & Literature and I'm working toward my Bachelors in Journalism. I am a multi-talented young woman who loves to showcase her array of skills to the world. It makes me feel good when I can bring joy to the lives of others. I'm very family oriented and recently became a new mom. I have many works of writing but my biggest dream is to have my own show.
